The art for Mickey Mouse was designed first and rendered by hand, then translated into graphic. This was created with the intention of the hat to be flying away. The overall concept was planned for the poster after feeling the mood of the trailer and vintage movie posters for Fantasia.
The final movie poster was rendered with a focus on Mickey himself and then building in the movie elements with him. His signature hat was created to be interactive and floating away from him. The background was made to feel engaging to the audience as they travel through the world of magic. This movie poster was created for the Ambler Theater for an upcoming matinee. The font for "Walt Disney" and the title was done by hand. Alongside the hand drawn character is his hand drawn hat.
